Within the framework of the Bordeaux Neurocampus Graduate Program and Bordeaux Summer Schools, the University of Bordeaux is pleased to announce its call for instructors for the “Introduction to experimental neuroscience” workshop, taking place at the Bordeaux School of Neuroscience from July 18th to 30th, 2022. The purpose of this workshop is to share a passion for neuroscience, favor interdisciplinarity and encourage scientific discussions between students and researchers from different levels of expertise.
Organization. The objective is to introduce graduate and doctoral students from various backgrounds outside the neuroscientific field to experimental neuroscience practices. The course is open to students specialized in physics, engineering, mathematics, psychology, and other disciplines.
Instructors will supervise a group of 2 to 3 students during 6 days, either in English or in French, to develop and implement a mini-project according to their specific technical skills. During this supervision period, instructors will be guided by experienced researchers and university professors, as well as by the Bordeaux School of Neuroscience and Bordeaux Neurocampus Graduate Program teams.
Expertise upon completion. As an instructor at the Bordeaux School of Neuroscience, you will receive a certificate attesting to your role and skills acquired throughout the program:
- Coaching and supervision
- Pedagogical engineering
- Project management
Furthermore, instructors will have the opportunity to develop their soft skills, strengthen their international scientific network and, simply, enjoy science!

Call for instructors – Introduction to experimental neuroscience
The application deadline is March 1st, 2022. A CV, including a photo and details concerning applicants university education, professional experience, main scientific achievements and research experience, will be necessary.
Traveling fees, weekday lunches, coffee breaks, accommodation and social program costs are covered by the program.
